Mid-day: Depart SFO on overnight flight to Milano, Italy

Tues Oct 18
Mid-Morning: Arrive at Malpensa (this is Milan's main airport for our trip, since it is on the western side of Milan. You can also arrive at Linate.)
Meals: on your own in Milan
Tues Nite: Hotel in or near Milan (location to be determined). We are staying the night in Milan so that everyone can arrive on their various flights, and we congregate together at a central location, ready to launch the trip.

Wed Oct 19
Morning: After Breakfast on your own, we drive to Damanhur, viewing the beautiful Piedmonte mountains along the way. Settle in the Guesthouse.
Mid-day viewing of Falco's Selfic paintings (the founder of Damanhur).
Lunch: at the Antica Val di Ky restaurant in Vidracco (included in the program)
Afternoon: Visit to the central part of the Damanhur Federation, art studios and activities at the DamanhurCrea Centre. Dinner at Tiglio di Pan, Damanhur's organic restaurant (included in the program)

Thurs Oct 20
After your Continental breakfast, enjoy a full day dedicated to The Temples of Humankind. Morning of exercises and sacred dance to widen your awareness, inner harmonizing, and sacred dance and moving meditations. Included with that are contact with Selfic paintings, and a walk in the energetic circuits in the Sacred Woods.
Afternoon in the Temples of Humankind, guided by Esperide Ananas. Go to the Damanhur website to be amazed by what has been created in the Temples, situated inside of a mountain!
Evening Event: Seraco (conversation) with Falco, the founder of Damanhur (simultaneous translation on headphones). (Optional program)

Fri Oct 21
Morning: Visit to the Sacred Woods and Concert of the Plants. We experience Damanhur's research with plants that measures the energies of the plants and translates that to music as its form of communication. Each plant has their own musical vibration. We will spend time in the Sacred Grove with the plants and this amazing technology.
Afternoon: Meet with Esperide or Lepre about how to build a community and apply in the US what you have learned at Damanhur. This is also a Program about the Spiritual People, and Questions & Answers on Damanhur's research and philosophy.

Sat Oct 22
Morning: Breakfast at Damanhur. Check out in morning. Leave for Villa in Bagni di Lucca.
Lunch: On the road.
Afternoon: Arrival at the Villa il Sogno, in Lucca.

Sat Oct 22 - Sat Oct 29: The Villa Experience
A variety of experiences, including lighthearted and in-depth discussions, trips to surrounding villages and towns to be taken individually or in a group, cooking together, rest and relaxation, swim in the pool or relax in the Jacuzzi, hike in the beautiful surroundings, and more. This is creative, unstructured time.

Sat Oct 29
Morning breakfast at Villa, and depart Villa by 11am for Turin.
Lunch out on your own.
Arrive by 3pm, and check into the hotel.
Dinner: Closing Dinner with the group provided (not including alcohol)

Sun Oct 30
After breakfast, a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum and tour of Magic Turin by a representative from Damanhur. The museum is the second most important collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world, after the Cairo Museum in Egypt. We will spend the half-day in the city discovering the symbols and messages that tell of its hidden magical story.
Late Afternoon: Departure to Damanhur for the Ritual of Commemoration of the Dead. This is a special ceremony, held only once yearly.

Mon Oct 31
Your last day with the group.
Morning breakfast, and depart Hotel by 8:30am for noon flights from Malpensa airports, and return to SFO that evening.

Leave Turin by train (we provide a one-way train ticket to Malpensa airport or stay on your own): Train one-way to airport at Malpensa airport - $34 and (1hr 44min). This is a great way to get to the airport.

About the Villa Experience

Location ~ Villa Il Sogno
Villa il Sogno is located in the Lucca area of Italy. This totally private villa has magnificent views. Mountains, green, lush and dotted with hill towns, rise up around you. Please read all the extras about this spectacular Villa to really get a sense of the special qualities of the Villa we will be sharing. On its high perch, il Sogno affords unending vistas and pleasant temperatures. Bagni di Lucca, with restaurants and shops, is within three miles of the villa. From there, Lucca is just under 30 minutes. Pisa, Carrara and the Ligurian coast are within an hour. Florence is easily reached within 90 minutes. Il Sogno reflects the impeccable sense of style of its well-traveled American owner, and was only intended as a private home.

Extras ~ Lots!
Il Sogno has phones, a separate fax line, satellite television, fireplaces, wood stoves, a washer and dryer and more. A maid attends to the villa three hours per day, four days a week.

The swimming pool, on a level behind and above the house, overlooks the entire valley. Within an ivy-covered courtyard, there is an outdoor Jacuzzi set by an ancient stone wall. The main living room, as well as the rest of the house, is beautifully decorated with antiques, works of art and extremely comfortable furniture.

There is a gourmet kitchen, set with inlaid marble, has a six burner stove top, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, espresso maker, toaster, and Cuisinart. It leads out to a furnished courtyard, 18th-century oven and fountain. There is a pantry with CD player connected to the kitchen and dining room, with a huge picture window opening to the views. Main living room.

Sleeping Accommodations ~ Wonderful
The villa sleeps 14-15, with all of the rooms are well proportioned and the mattresses, baths, linens and fluffy towels are all above par. It would take a book to detail all the comforts of this home.

Main level: One bathroom with shower. Study with fireplace, TV and phone/fax. Suite consists of a living room with fireplace; fax machine, TV and stairs to private loggia. One bedroom with queen size bed, walk-in closet and en suite bathroom with tub and shower.

Upper level: Loggia with dining table for six. Small kitchen with stove top, oven, fridge, dishwasher, toaster oven and coffee maker. One bedroom with queen size bed and en suite bathroom with tub and shower. One bedroom with queen size bed, CD player and en suite bathroom with tub and two showers.

Lower level: Two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, one with a fireplace, frescoed wall and private balcony. Half bath. Two bathrooms with tub and hand shower. Family room with futons, sofas and access to lower courtyard. Two bedrooms each with two single beds, one with a fireplace and the other with doors to the courtyard. Laundry room with two washing machines and dryer.

Travel Distances
Villa il Sogno is 1 hour from Pisa. Florence airport is reached in under 2 hours. The Milan airport is approximately 3.5 hours.

Side Trips
We can go to Lucca, in Tuscany, a walled medieval town that's well worth seeing, along with a drive through the Tuscan countryside, is a 90-minute drive from our Villa. The group will determine what side trips we'd like to take, and with two vehicles, different locations are possible.

Food
Food cooked at the Villa will be provided as part of the cost of the villa experience. We will shop, prepare and clean up together, enhancing the community villa experience. Food out is on your own.

Details About Damanhur

Location
Damanhur is located in the Valchiusella Valley, north of Turin (Turnio), and 1.5 hours west of Milan (Milano). We are near the Renaissance towns of Castellamonte and Ivrea.

Food
At Damanhur: Continental Breakfasts are included. We receive a voucher for cappuccino and croissant, used at either of the two bars in the Centre of Damanhur. The first evening's dinner is included, which will be at Tiglio di Pan, in the Valchiusella Valley, and near a nature park. This restaurant is a renovated farmhouse, surrounded by gardens with organic vegetables, and part of the Damanhur community. All meats and vegetables provided are organic, and hand-made pastas, ravioli, river fish and other local products in season are served. Vegetarian and meat/fish choices are always available at all Damanhur restaurants and eateries.

Additionally, there is a well-equipped kitchen in the Guesthouse, which is close to many things at Damanhur, often within walking distance. There is an organic store, within walking distance, where you can buy food supplies, and they serve lunch and dinner as well. Within the environs of Damanhur are three distinct restaurants where you can have lunch or dinner, and in the town near Damanhur, a 15 min drive, are many other restaurants as well, for dinners.

Accommodations
At Damanhur: We will be staying in the Centre of Damanhur, in the Guesthouse. Rooms are booked on a 2-per person basis (they will accommodate couples), or dorm style with 3 single men or 3 single women to a room.

While in Damanhur
We will visit the galleries and work spaces in and around Damanhur and in the Valchiusella Valley, seeing how one community has evolved, and their commitment to art and Spirit. We'll tour the pottery studio, where most of the sculptures in Damanhur are created; the jewelry gallery, where sacred pieces are created and then consecrated in the Temple of Humankind; and the art gallery where Falco, the founder of Damanhur, has created a large number of paintings. One of the research fields to which Falco is very committed is that of 'Selfic painting'~ the use of 'intelligent' energies through two-dimensional forms based on signs and color.

Trip cancellation insurance can be purchased and is recommended.
